Inside the Rabbinic Tunnel, Rock Quarry. Near the north end of the tunnel are a variety of remains from the days of Herod including columns and a polished railing. In this image the stones remain attached to bed rock, but the preparatory hewing around them had been completed before the work was abandoned. The quarried stones were probably used in building some part of the temple complex.
