A collection of wonderful pieces that were discovered in elite houses in Nahum Avigad's excavations in the Jewish Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem.
On the left note the beautiful mosaic and behind it the single leg stone table. In the center note the solid stone storage jars. On the right, note the column fragments that have been assembled. On the middle column drum there is a protruding knob that was used for lifting the column into place. These column drums were never finished with fluting. To view the capital Click Here.
