View looking up at the “ceiling” of Channel II. The channel seems to have been cut from above, and then large stones were “dumped” into the upper opening of the channel to block it from above. Over the stones dirt and shrubs were planted to conceal the channel.
In this image some of the blocking stones are obviously quarried and squared off.
In this area the channel is at least 10 ft. [3.0 m.] high.
