View of a diagram of the large Latrine that is located near the eastern bath and the theater. Note the projecting stones on which one would sit. Underneath them there was flowing water to remove the waste. In front of the seats there was a small trough in which fresh water flowed that was used to clean a sponge that was on a stick.
The seating area was covered by a roof and the central atrium was open to the sky. There was no privacy and we are not certain if men and women used the facility at the same time.
