View looking at the main altar in the Lower Chapel that commemorates the human nature of Jesus. The two peacocks in the far window "speak" of immortality—for some believe that the skins of peacocks do not decay.
In the arch above the altar are paintings that emphasize the humanity of Jesus.
The Church was designed by Antonio Barluzzi and built on the remains of Byzantine and Crusader churches. It was completed in 1924.
