View looking southeast at the arches of a block of houses that are grouped around a courtyard (= insulae). All the buildings at Korazin were made of black basalt stone. On the left side of the image are a series of nine “windows.” This was actually the interior wall of a building and the interior “windows” allowed air to circulate throughout the building. Similar “interior windows” have been found at the Golan site of Katzrin.
