View looking northwest down into the Israelite Temple area. Just right of center is a door opening that leads to the “Holy Place,” and then to the left (west) of that is the “Most Holy Place.” In this instance the “Holy Place” is a “broad room”—with the entrances on the long (broad) walls—in contrast to first the Israelite Tabernacle and Solomonic Temple—both of which had “long rooms.”
