In the central hall are two large column bases that are each composed of several stones. Wood pillars rested on these bases and they, in turn, supported the roof of the structure
The house was built in the Egyptian style with rooms surrounding this central hall.
On the ground, to the right of the entrance is a replica of an inscription that was discovered in the excavation. It indicated that this was the home of the Egyptian governor Ramses-Weser-Khepesh in the 12th century BC. The house went out of use at the end of the 12th century when Egyptian rule in the area collapsed.
