A typical house and its yard in the village of Ekinözü which is located about 2 miles south of Derbe. The house is constructed of mud brick (from the local soil) and coated with layers of plaster. The roof of the house is of straw that is covered with a plastic tarp. Solar panels are used to heat water. Several satellite dishes are visible in the picture.
