View looking east from the citadel (Turkish: kale)—walls on the right. The mosque below the Citadel, with the large dome and two minarets is the Halil Rahman Camii — dedicated to Abraham, the friend (halil) of the Compassionate One (rahman = Allah). Above the mosque are some of the buildings of Sanliurfa.
