View looking north over the western portion of the Lower City. The columns in the lower right are columns along Arcadius Street. The ruins on the left are remains from the Harbor Bath. The "horizontal" stretch of ruins across the center of the image are the remnants of the Church of Mary. Beyond that, totally covered with green shrubbery is where there was a Temple to Hadrian—the Olympeion
Not visible to the left is the Harbor and to the right the Commercial Agora and the Theater.
