View looking south down into the orchestra and stage area of the theater at Hierapolis.
On the left side of the image the cavea of the theater is clearly visible. Note the “belt” walkway (diazoma) about two–thirds the way up the cavea and the doors (vomitoria) that lead to it.
In the haze on the horizon the Lycus Valley is partially visible.
