The Temple of Athena is situated on the acropolis of Assos, 780 feet [238m] above sea level. It was constructed in 530 B.C. and is of the Doric and Ionic styles. Significant remains of the temple are on display in the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, and a life size reproduction of the front of the temple has been constructed in the archaeological museum in Istanbul.
