View view looking west at the temple complex.
The foundations of the temple are in the center of the image. In the distance is the Aegean and the Dardanelle Straits. The temple has been dated to the reign of the Roman Emperor Augustus (r. 27 B.C. – A.D. 14).
In the foreground is a circular structure that is interpreted to be a Fountain that was constructed in the early second century A.D. It is about 20 feet in diameter.
