View inside the second (interior) room of the tomb, looking at one of the arcosolia and an ossuary. The arcosolium is the indentation in the wall, with the flat shelf and the arch above it. The ossuary is the box into which the bones of the deceased were placed after the flesh had decomposed. A number of fragments of ossuaries were found in this room of the tomb.
