View looking east at the “prayer wall” of the Sultan Ahmet I Mosque (Camii).  In the center of the image the mihrab is visible, and to the right of center the door and the staircase of the minbar (pulpit) is visible.  Colorful banks of windows line the east wall.

Note the rug and the multiple rectangles.  During prayers each person has a rectangle in which they stand, kneel, and prostrate themselves.
