View of the Plutonium as it exists today. This is an opening that supposedly emits noxious gases. It was located under the arch but the front of it has been walled in. Only a small rectangular opening into which an arm can be extended opens into it.
This area was dedicated to Pluto, the god of the underworld. It was said that animals that descended into this pit died because of the vapors.
At the present time, we were not able to detect any vapors coming from this opening. To view the interior of the Plutonium Click Here.
