View of one of the many portions of stone fragments associated with the Augustus temple. Note the head of the (sacrificial) bull and the garlands that decorated it as it was led to be sacrificed.

Note how in not–so–distant Lystra to the east ". . . the priest of Zeus, whose temple was just outside the city, brought oxen[!] and garlands[!] to the gates, and wanted to offer sacrifice with the crowds" in honor of Barnabas and Paul! (Acts 14:1113)
