Exedra of Herodes Atticus

View looking northwest at the Exedra of Herodes Atticus.  This was built in A.D. 160.  This semicircular area was more than a mere meeting area, but was in fact a large water fountain, a nymphaeum, that actually provided water to the whole sacred area, Altis, of Olympia.
