View looking down at the (brown) water in the bottom of the Wadi Qilt. Normally the wadi (valley) is totally dry, but this picture was taken during the winter. The green grass is another clue that the picture was taken in the winter.
In Jerusalem, about 8 mi. k[13 km.] west of here, it was raining and sleeting while here in the wilderness it was sunny. The water flowing in the wadi is coming down from the Jerusalem storm.
