A view looking down on a part of the reception courtyard (in the foreground) and beyond it, beyond the two stubs of columns, is where the forecourt of the Throne Room of Herod the Great was located. Notice the carved plaster still on the walls. Everything above the black lines is reconstructed.
The actual throne room is partially visible in the upper left quadrant of the image.
