View looking southeast at the mud brick remains of the remains of the Middle Bronze II glacis that surrounded the city of Ashqelon.
The MB II city gate is sheltered under the roof on the left (east) side of the image. To view the gate Click Here.
In the lower right quadrant of the image is a vertical wall. Above this, built into the glacis, was a MB II shrine where a silver–coated bronze calf was found.

This picture was taken from outside of this city gate.
