View of a rare (in Israel) "rolling stone tomb" that is located below the Convent of the Sisters of Nazareth.
Note the niches (loculi, kokhim) that are visible beyond the entrance. The shape of these niches seem to indicate that this is a tomb from the Early Roman Period—i.e., first century A.D.
The stone itself is about 3.5 feet in diameter.
