Entrance 1

photo

View looking southwest at the east entrance of the Temple of Apollo. Six restored columns are visible. They are composed of a series of drums and were originally plastered. The entrance ramp is visible in front of them.

On the right (north) side of the image is a square column — plinth — that probably was topped by a statue of “Apollo Sitalcus.”

In the lower left the altar of Apollo is visible.
