Anaktoron

View looking north at the foundation walls of the Anaktoron (also known as the "House of the Lords/Gods"). It is one of the oldest buildings on Samothrace—built around 550 B.C. and was used through the 4th century A.D. The first stage of the secret initiation rites took place in this building.
