Dancers Frieze

photo

A section of the "Dancing Girls" that was part of the frieze of the propylon at Samothrace—ca. 340 B.C. Notice how the girls are paired (looking at each other) and the one girl playing a harp. Their headdresses, dresses and off the shoulder garments (with right breasts exposed?) are all very similar.
