Odeum 2

View looking south at the interior of the Odeum that is located on the east end of the forum. Originally built for theatrical or musical performances, it was later modified so that it could be used for gladiatorial contests—note the protective high walls that separate the "orchestra" area (blue glassed area) from the seats.
