Detailed view of the interior of the "fountain house" of the Peirene Spring.

This is the lower portion of this image. Behind the stone structures is where the flow of running water (can still be heard) fills the reservoir that in turn fills the pools of the Peirene Complex.

Note on the left side of the image the remnant of colored fresco on the stone wall.
