View looking south. In the left of the picture, just beyond the path in the foreground, are the significant remains of Building IX. Note the fenced in area just to the right of the center of the image. This is where new (2018) excavations are taking place. Just above the center of the image the small Byzantine Church is visible. Beyond it are the remains of the magnificent Western Palace.
