Grotto Star Detail

View of fourteen point star that is said to mark the traditional site of the birthplace of Jesus. The star’s Latin inscription reads, “Here of the Virgin Mary Jesus Christ was born — 1717.” In the hole in the center of the star, bedrock seems to be exposed.
