Tel Aviv

View looking north along the coast at the modern city of Tel Aviv. Tel Aviv was founded in 1909 by a group of 60 Jewish families that moved out of Jaffa to the sand dunes to the north of the city. It is now a high tech, modern, cosmopolitan city. It has a population of about 500,000 but the Urban area has a population of 1.4 million people!
