View, looking south, of the Euphrates at a spot about 60 mi. [95 km.] north - as the "crow flies" - of Sanliurfa where it exits the mountains. This spot is about 15 mi. [24 km.] east of Nemrut Dagi. This is the area behind a recently built Turkish dam.
