Christian Symbols

A view of the southern door jamb of the east entrance to the Temple of Artemis. Christian symbols, especially crosses, are visible. The Greek words phōs (φως, light) and zoē (ζωή, life) are among the crosse, but are not visible. These were added during the Byzantine Period.
