Odeum/Bouleuterion Unexcavated 1

View looking north at the unexcavated remains of the Odeum. The semi–circular curved area can be seen just above the center of the image. This picture was taken in January 2006.

As an Odeum it might have been covered and used for lectures and concerts. It may have also served as a bouleuterion, that is, a council chamber. An inscription has been found that indicates that musical contests were held at Laodicea.
