Ortaköy Mosque

Photograph of the Ortaköy Mosque looking north. The mosque was completed in 1856 but has been refurbished several times. The Ottoman Sultan Abdülmecid commissioned it. It was designed in the Neo-Baroque style.

The Bosphorus Bridge (the first of three suspension bridges crossing the Bosphorus going north) is visible behind the mosque.
