Red Basilica: Interior 1

View looking east at the interior of the Red Basilica. The Basilica still stands to a height of 62 ft. [19 m.]! Some marble and plaster are visible on the walls. The large gash/opening at the far (east) end of the building is an apse. And just this side of the apse, is a podium area where a statue of the deity (deities?) stood.
