Theater Cavea

View looking east at the interior of the 9,000 seat theater at Sagalassos. The seating area (cavea) which is divided into wedges (cunei) is clearly visible. Above the first part of the cavea the "belt" (diazoma) is clearly visible and above it a second upper portion for seating.

The grassy area in the lower right portion of the image is the orchestra area.
