Salamis Cyprus

Salamis Cyprus

Salamis, on the east coast of Cyprus, was the first stop on Paul’s first missionary journey where he and Barnabas and John Mark preached in the synagogues (Acts 13:5). It is located just N of Famagusta.

Please note, this is NOT where the famous Battle of Salamis took place in 280 B.C.  That Salamis is an island northwest of Athens in the Saronic Gulf.
