This three-line Latin Inscription was a dedicatory inscription placed at the amphitheater at Lugdunum. It was found in 1958.
"(In tribute) to Tiberius Caesar Augustus, the amphitheater .... together with the podium, Caius Julius Rufus, son of Caius, priest of Rome and Augustus .... son and grandson(?), of the Santoni tribe, built these with their own deniers."
It dates to A.D. 19 (reign of the Roman Emperor Tiberius) and emphasized the beneficence of the donors.
