Detailed view of the large stones used in the construction of a portion of the well–preserved 500 ft. [150 m.] section of the diolkos located north of the modern canal near its western end.
Note the well–preserved stones and the deep ruts. I am not certain why there are actually three grooves in this short section of the diolkos—normally there at just two.
