View of one of the River Beds (Heb: nahal; Arabic: wadi) in Eastern Benjamin Wilderness. There is some runoff water (brown) in the bottom. Note the dry hills in the area and the small limestone cliffs that outline the wadi itself.
This is the area of the fugitives and shepherds—particularly in the winter when there is some vegetation on the hillsides.
