View of the eastern half of the interior focusing on the circular eastern tower. Some have thought that possibly Herod's tomb was in this eastern circular tower, but to date, it has not been found. Others have suggested that it might possibly be located in a structure near the pool which is located at the northern foot of the Herodium.
Note the view of the rectangular interior garden. In the lower left quadrant of the picture, to the left of the man in white, is the passageway that leads to a series of underground tunnels and cisterns which supplied water for the Herodium.
