View looking west at the 1:50 scale model of Second Temple (NT) Jerusalem as it was on the eve of its destruction in A.D. 70 by the Romans.
In the center of the image is the Temple Mount and below it is the Kidron Valley that forms the lower eastern boundary of the image. To the left (south) of the Temple Mount, is the Old Ancient Core of Jerusalem. To the right (north) of the Temple Mount the Pools of Bethesda are visible.
The Antonia Fortress is located at the northwestern corner of the Temple Mount.
The wall proceeding from the southeastern corner of the Temple Mount is Josephus' "First Wall," the wall from the Antonia Fortress his "Second Wall," and from the northeastern corner the "Third Wall."
