View from Kh. Qeiyafa looking east southeast toward the Hill Country of Judah.
In the opinion of this author the Israelites camped near the (now) Kibbutz Netiv Halamed Heh. This kibbutz is located slightly above left of center of the image where a hazy ridge joins the Elah from the left (north).
Socoh is located on the right (south) side of the image (Elah) on the ridge.
