View looking east at the main altar of St. Anne’s Church. Note, from left to right, the representations of events in the life of Mary (daughter of Anne and Joachim): the birth of Jesus, Mary holding the body of Jesus, and Gabriel announcing to Mary that she would bear the Messiah.
The Church, although reconstructed, is one of the best examples of Romanesque Crusader architecture that is preserved in Jerusalem.
