The el-Kas (surrounded by the green fencing) is connected to one of the largest of the 49 underground cisterns on the Temple Mount area. Moslem worshipers wash themselves here prior to their prayers. Note the multiple water spickets and the chairs for the worshipers to sit on as they perform their ablutions.
