1Kings 18:31 Elijah took twelve stones, one for each of the tribes descended from Jacob, to whom the word of the LORD had come, saying, “Your name shall be Israel.”
Muhraqa, meaning "the sacrifice" or "it burns" in Arabic, is the site on Mount Carmel at 1,580 feet that commemorates the event described in 1 Kings 18:18–46 where Elijah "defeated" the prophets of Baal and Asherah.
