From top to bottom note the three scenes associated with the Gentiles: the magi brining gifts to the Christ child; the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the Day of Pentecost; and Paul's vision of the risen Jesus on the road to Damascus.
The Latin inscription reads "a light of revelation to the Gentiles."
