View looking west at one of the Israelite houses located on the west side of Beersheba. The blue numbered signs indicate the four rooms of the house.
The foundation was made of stones taken from the nearby wadi (dried river bed) and the walls were made of mud brick.
On the right side of the image note the “columns” that supported the roof and/or floor above.
