View looking southwest at the northeast corner of the market (= macellum). The round tholos in the center is clearly visible. To the right of the three large columns is where the market temple was located. In the lower right corner is one of two public latrines. Please also note the shops along the perimeter of the market, the colonnaded walkway, and the marble paving stones of the market itself.
The blue in the upper left of the image, beyond the trees, is where the harbor of Puteoli is located.
